Project Description:

The Shanghai Museum is a rectangular block with a simple and straight shape. The East Pavilion covers an area of 4.6 hectares and has a total construction area of about 105,000 square meters, which is more than twice the size of the People’s Square Pavilion. The building height is nearly 45 meters and has 6 floors above ground. 2 floors underground. It forms a cluster effect with the surrounding cultural facilities such as Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Oriental Art Center, Shanghai Library East Building, Century Park, and becomes an important part of Huamu Administrative Cultural Center. That coincides with the geographical location of Shanghai, where the city "land and sea meet", and it also symbolizes Shanghai's pioneering spirit of "standing on the tide".
